- Recognized as a timeless Master, the late Jerry Kaufman, (1930-2015), was a past president and a Certified Value Specialist (CVS), board chairman of the Society of American Value Engineers (SAVE International), and was internationally known and honored in his field. He was cited in Engineers of Distinction by the Engineers Joint Council in 1973, received the Meritorious Service award, and was a Fellow and Life Member of SAVE.
- In 1980, he was awarded the Presidential Citation by the Society for Japanese Value Engineering for his contributions in establishing Value Engineering in Japan. The American Association of Cost Engineers (AACE) recognized Jerry as their Speaker of the Year for the period 1989-1990.
- He provided consultant services and conducted Value Management workshops related to product development, manufacturing, process improvement, total quality management, and organization effectiveness (business systems re-engineering).
